DashMark

Privacy Policy

DashMark app (iOS and Android) · Effective October 6, 2026

This policy explains what data the DashMark app (the “App”), published by BJSC (“we”), uses, what leaves your device, who it is shared with, and what rights you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Summary

2. Permissions and data on your device

2.1. Camera and microphone

The camera records your drives and photos. The microphone records sound with the video only if Record audio is turned on in Settings. Recordings are saved in the App’s storage on your device and are never sent to us.

2.2. Location

The App reads your device’s location while the camera is running to show speed, coordinates, heading and trip distance, and to save each trip’s route and summary on your device. To turn coordinates into a street address, the App uses the address lookup built into your phone: Apple’s geocoding service on iOS and Google’s geocoder on Android. These services receive the coordinates under Apple’s and Google’s own privacy policies. We never receive your location.

2.3. Photos and files you choose

If you add a company logo, the App reads only the image you pick and keeps a copy in its own storage. When you share or export a clip, a photo or a GPX route, the file goes only to the app or person you choose.

2.4. Settings

Your settings (template, units, company name, information lines, language, reward status) are stored on your device.

3. Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to show ads and Google User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent where the law requires it (such as the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland). Google may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS — only if you allow tracking; Advertising ID on Android), IP address, device information and ad interactions. How Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can change your ad consent at any time with Privacy options in Settings (where it applies), limit ad tracking in your device settings, or watch a rewarded ad to remove ads for 24 hours.

4. What we do not do

5. Retention and deletion

Clips are deleted automatically when the storage limit you set is reached (locked clips are kept). You can delete trips, clips and photos in the App at any time. Uninstalling the App removes everything it stored on your device. Data collected by Google for advertising is kept under Google’s policy.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Because we hold no personal data about you, most requests concern Google’s ad data: use the consent options above or Google’s tools. You can always contact us with questions.

8. Safety and the law

You are responsible for using the App safely and lawfully: mount the phone securely, do not operate it while driving, and follow local rules on recording in vehicles and on public roads.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced in the App.
