GPS Cam

Privacy Policy

GPS Cam app · Effective October 17, 2026

This policy explains what data the GPS Cam app (the “App”), published by BJSC (“we”), uses, what leaves your device, who it is shared with, and what rights you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Summary

2. Permissions and data on your device

2.1. Camera and microphone

The camera takes the photos and videos you shoot. The microphone records sound with videos. Nothing is recorded unless you press the shutter or record button, and recordings are never sent to us.

2.2. Location

While the camera is open, the App reads your device’s location to draw the coordinates, address, QR code and map into the picture. The coordinates are also written into the photo’s metadata (EXIF), so anyone you share a photo with can see where it was taken. To turn coordinates into a street address, the App uses Apple’s geocoding service, which receives the coordinates under Apple’s privacy policy. We never receive your location.

2.3. Map

The small map is drawn with the Google Maps SDK for iOS. To load the map around you, the SDK sends your approximate position, IP address and device information to Google, under the Google Privacy Policy. You can turn the map off in Settings; the Minimal template has no map.

2.4. Photos library

Depending on the save mode you pick in Settings, the App adds each new photo or video to the Photos app. In the “Photos” mode it also asks to read your library so that its own gallery can show the items it saved there; it only looks up the items it created and never scans or uploads the rest of your library. When you share a photo or video, it goes only to the app or person you choose.

2.5. Settings

Your settings (template, shown lines, clock format, save mode, language, VIP status) are stored on your device.

3. Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to show ads and Google User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent where the law requires it (such as the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland). Google may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking), IP address, device information and ad interactions. How Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can change your ad consent at any time with Ad privacy options in Settings (where it applies), limit ad tracking in your device settings, or watch a rewarded ad to get VIP for 24 hours.

4. Purchases

VIP subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, payment details or Apple ID; the App only checks on your device whether a VIP subscription is active. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple account settings.

5. What we do not do

6. Retention and deletion

You can delete photos and videos in the App at any time; copies in the Photos app are managed there. Uninstalling the App removes everything it stored in its own storage (items saved to the Photos app stay there). Data collected by Google for maps and advertising is kept under Google’s policy.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Because we hold no personal data about you, most requests concern Google’s map and ad data: use the consent options above or Google’s tools. You can always contact us with questions.

9. Using the App responsibly

Photos and videos stamped with an address and coordinates reveal where you were. Think before sharing them, and follow local laws on photographing people and places.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced in the App.
